Over time I found my technique gravitating away from realism and getting more expressive and colourful. I love experimenting with texture and patterns to add another layer of visual information about the subject, or sometimes just for my own fun. This led me to painting abstracts and I loved the new possibilities it opened.

My painting process is very intuitive. I rethink and repaint a lot, and finished piece often looks nothing like the initial study. Although sometimes it can be a great source of frustration, I am learning to accept it as part of the journey and appreciate little discoveries I make along the way.
